Japantown Anime Faire (JTAF) celebrates anime fandom in the heart of San Francisco's Japan Center as part of Japantown's 100th Year Anniversary Celebration. JTAF hopes to promote anime's contribution to the American mainstream and the creative talents inspired by the artform. The 4th Annual Japantown Anime Faire will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday, September 16-17 at San Francisco's Japan Center and the JDV Miyako Hotel. Events will include live performances, artist alley, swap meet, anime video rooms, video gaming, a costume contest and anime cosplay contest, sponsored by Japan Video & Media. Japantown Anime Faire is sponsored in part by Project 760 Productions, in cooperation with Japan Video & Media, Mikado Music Japan, Kinokuniya Bookstore, Japantown Collectibles, the Japantown Merchants Association, the Japantown 100th Anniversary Committee, the Japan Society of Northern California and the San Francisco Consul General of Japan.
