Anime Convention

Japan Play Transylvania is a festival made for students and young people between the age of 15 and 35, and it will take place in the second biggest city of Romania, which is Cluj-Napoca, on 28 and 29 of April 2012. The festival has as theme, modern Japanese culture, including Anime - Manga - Gaming, Japanese music (J-Pop/J-Rock), and Japanese traditional culture (Culture, Art, Martial Arts, etc.). For this reason the festival will be held in two locations: Student Culture House (the main location of the festival), dedicated to young people, and the second location is the Tailors Tower, where will be presenting exhibitions of Japanese art and history, and karate demonstrations and kendo, and many other traditions like tea ceremony, ikebana, sushi craftsmanship and origami.

This project is supported by the Romanian Government through the National Authority for Youth and Sports, and local authorities and Cluj County Council and the Cluj-Napoca's Town Hall.
