Anime-Cons.com ranked 16th on Animefringe's annual Top 25
The results came in this morning and Anime-Cons.com has been ranked as number 16 on Animefringe's annual poll of the top 25 anime web sites. World Cosplay Summit 2005 web site launched
TV Aichi's World Cosplay Summit 2005 site has been officially launched. The event held in Japan will draw 40 cosplayers (individuals and groups) portraying anime, manga, and game characters from seven countries including the United States, Germany, France, Spain, China, Italy, and Japan. Kawaii Kon sets attendance goal of 1000
Hawaii anime convention Kawaii Kon has been told that two additional "top guests" from Japan (unamed) would attend the convention provided it could guarantee sufficient exposure in the form of 1000 registered attendees. Kawaii Kon takes place at the Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 22-24, 2005.   Source: Anime News Network

Robotech convention tour to start at Kunicon St. Louis
Kunicon St Louis has invited the entire Robotech.com team of Tommy Yune, Kevin McKeever, Tom Bateman and Steve Yun as guests of honor as well as Richard Epcar who appears as Vince Grant in the new Robotech sequel. Shoujo Arts Society and Yurikon LLC have announced their new convention, Onna!. Onna! will take the ideas behind Shoujocon and Yuricon, two separate conventions focusing on women in anime and manga, and promote them in a single setting.   [read more]

John O'Donnell of Central Park Media, one of the organizations responsible for Big Apple Anime Fest, has informed Anime-Cons.com that he is "unaware of any plans for BAAF 2005 at this time."

Maaya Sakamoto scheduled to appear at AnimeFest 2005
