Anime Central changes 2006 dates
Although mid-May 2006 dates were previously announced on Anime Central's forums, Anime-Cons.com has been informed that the 2006 convention will take place from May 5th through 7th. It will be held at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare and The Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

Web comics and attendees band together to save ConnectiCon
This past weekend's ConnectiCon found itself in over $34,000 of debt after being presented with a bill for last minute additions to the Connecticut Convention Center staff. In response, web comics have created SaveConnectiCon.com in an attempt to raise enough money to ensure the convention will return next year.   [read more]

AFO6 announces updated guest list and events
Anime Festival Orlando has announced that Tony Oliver, Steve Yun, Tom Bateman, Chris Sabat, Bob Bergen, Michael Richard Dobson, Lex Lang, Sandy Fox, Steve Bennett, Doug Smith and Jan Scott-Frazier are all on the guest list for this August's convention.   [read more]

MechaCon to premiere Transformers: The Movie - Reconstructed
MechaCon announced Wednesday that it will screen "Transformers: The Movie - Reconstructed" during its inaugural convention in Lafayette, LA. The film is a brand new telecine, providing a 16:9 widesceen anamorphic version of the film, literally re-constructed from the original picture negative.   [read more]
