Anime Expo online pre-registration up and running
Anime Expo 2006 pre-registration went online at 3:00 pm PST today. Paper mail-in forms for pre-registration will not be accepted and attendees that are unable to pre-register online will be able to register onsite during the convention during the 4th of July weekend.   [read more]

AnimeNEXT 2006 official hotel is sold out
The Holiday Inn Secaucus Meadowlands, AnimeNEXT's official hotel, is now sold out. Rates have been negotiated at three other nearby hotels.   [read more]

Sakura-Con 2006 announces additional guests
Sakura-Con 2006 has announced that voice actor Liam O'Brien and web comic creators Fred Gallagher and Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik will be appearing at the convention later this month.   [read more]

Anime Central's main hotel is full
The Hyatt Regency O' Hare, the hotel which is host to Anime Central, is sold out for the weekend of the convention. An overflow hotel is available.   [read more]

Youmacon announces 2006 dates
Youmacon has issued a brief press release to announce that their 2006 convention will be held at the Hilton Detroit/Troy in Troy, Michigan on November 3 through 5, 2006.   [read more]

Anime Evolution shifts a day
Anime Evolution has shifted from a Friday-Sunday convention to a Saturday-Monday convention this year due to a scheduling conflict with their venue. The convention will now be held from Saturday, August 19th through Monday, August 21st at Simon Fraser University's Burnaby Campus in Burnaby, British Columbia.

AsiaVision, the live-action film label of Urban Vision Entertainment, has teamed up with Anime Expo to sponsor an "Azumi costume category" in AX's masquerade this July. It will offer prizes to people with the best costumes from the film.   [read more]
