News for Naka-Kon 2011:

Final Naka-Kon 2011 guests announced

Kansas City, Mo. - Naka-Kon has announced its final guests for 2011: Charlene Ingram, DJ Sephiroth, Dustin Reudelhuber, Angela Von Huber, Amelie Belcher, Eric Wile and the Kojokan Shinbutai samurai group.

Charlene Ingram, also known as cosplayer Tristen Citrine, won "Best in Show" awards at Comicon International and World-Con, and founder of the cosplay wig store Cosworx. She also works as a Brand Manager at FUNimation Entertainment for titles such as Baccano!, Hetalia Axis Powers, Eden of the East and Summer Wars.

DJ Sephiroth will spin genre-blending tunes from rave anthems, anime and video games at Naka-Kon's nightly dance parties.

Balloon artist Dustin Reudelhuber, well-known by Naka-Kon attendees for his gargantuan balloon creations, will return this year to decorate the halls of the Hyatt. Face and body painter Angela Von Huber will assist Dustin with his balloon creations and demonstrate her painting techniques for attendees.

Game industry specialist Eric Wile has had experience with Verant Interactive and Sony Online Entertainment.

Amelie Belcher, artist for the manga Loud Snow and creator of webcomics The Real Life Adventures of Amelie and Bounty Haunters at amyarmy.com, will return for her third consecutive year as an artist guest.

Dan and Jillian Colgan, owners of and teachers at the Kojokan dojo, will teach attendees about 16th century Samurai arts.

Naka-Kon Anime Convention is organized and operated by approximately 100 uncompensated staff members, many of whom are students and most of whom live in the greater Kansas City area. Naka-Kon was first held in 2005 at the University of Kansas Memorial Union in Lawrence, Kan.
