News for Bishie Con 2009:

Bishie Con to take open submissions to art show

With Bishie Con's artists' alley now closed, they have opened up a new opportunity to artists: an open art show.

The art show is not an art auction but simply a chance to showcase attendees' artwork and give those who may not be able to afford a table or just want to show their work. Most importantly, it's FREE to all registered Bishie Con attendees.

Bishie Con will take all artwork, whether yaoi-related or not, that an attendee brings as long as it does not show nudity and is ready to hang (through holes in a mat board or with a loop on the back). There will be space beside each artwork to attach a business card holder or poster directing people to the artist's website. All artwork should be copies rather than originals. Spaces are first-come, first-served.

Bishie Con is the Midwest's yaoi and slash convention, providing a full weekend of fun for artists, writers, and fans of yaoi. It will take place November 20-22 in St. Louis, Missouri.
