Biography:
Pam Dougherty has been working in anime since Case Closed premiered on the Cartoon Network in 2003, making her debut as Jamie, an arsonist with some gender confusion. Since then she has voiced numerous anime characters in a variety of TV series and films, among them: Bamboo Blade, BECK, Black Butler, Burst Angel, D. Gray-man, Hell Girl, Rumbling Hearts, Suzuka, Trinity Blood and more. Her favorite roles have been Madame Christmas in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Lady Ofuku in Basilisk, Shensen Tennouzu in Speed Grapher and especially Sakae Jinnouchi in the recently premiered Summer Wars. She just finished recording a leading role in one of FUNimation's newest projects, but she can't talk about it yet.

Pam works frequently as an actress on television, radio and in live theater. Most recent television roles include (currently airing) a dirty talking grandma who knits in Season 4 of the USA Network's In Plain Sight ("Something's A-Mish"), a school principal in the pilot episode of NBC's Chase, and Judge Fogle in NBC's The Deep End. Film work includes roles in Dr. T and the Women (with Richard Gere), Walking Tall II (with Kevin Sorbo), Universal Soldier: The Return (with Jean-Claude Van Damme) , A Woman of Independent Means (with Sally Field) and more. She has voiced numerous political radio spots for governor, senate and congressional races across the U.S.

Pam has worked on the professional stage for over 30 years, and this past year received regional acclaim for her work as pill-addicted Violet Weston in the Pulitzer Prize winner August: Osage County at Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre, as the bawdy lounge singer Jeannette in The Full Monty at WaterTower Theatre in Addison, and as the bedridden Big Edie in Grey Gardens, also at WaterTower. This fall she will appear as Mrs. Dubose in To Kill a Mockingbird in a co-production between Casa Manana (in Fort Worth and the Dallas Theater Center.

Pam's first con appearance was last February at Ushicon in Round Rock, Texas, and she had so so much fun, she's scouting for the opportunity to make more appearances. But she's only got three months off (between December and March) before she starts rehearsals for another major role (yet to be publicly announced) in Dallas, so she hopes to hear from some Summer Wars and Speedgrapher fans!
