Biography:
John Andersen is Portland resident who started Maine's first Japanese anime club in the early/mid 90's called M.A.N.G.A., which held its anime showings in the downtown Portland area. M.A.N.G.A. was responsible also bringing many anime theatrical showings to The Movies on Exchange Street, including "Wicked City" and "Ghost In The Shell". Since M.A.N.G.A. has ended, John has still been apart of the anime scene, including his involvement in the successful public campaign to have Buena Vista Home Video include the Japanese version of "Princess Mononoke" on the North American DVD release.
