Biography:
Cynthia Preston took up modeling classes to overcome extreme shyness. Soon after, at the young age of 15, Cynthia found herself modeling for top brands and international campaigns, which led to working overseas in Japan for several months at a time.
Cynthia landed the role as Jani Browning in the CBS television movie Miles to Go, shortly after graduating high school. She continually worked, landing roles in offbeat independent movies like Pin and Prom Night III, as well as doing a substantial amount of voice-over roles including the popular Princess Zelda in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show sub-series, The Legend of Zelda.
Cynthia made her film festival debut playing the mentally disturbed groupie in Whale Music, which opened the Toronto International Film Festival and was nominated for Best Picture in Canada that year. Cynthia also co-starred in Thom Fitzgerald's film The Event with an ensemble cast including Olympia Dukakis, Parker Posey and Sarah Polley, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
From 2002 to 2005 Cynthia was best known as the infamous mobster Faith Roscoe on the soap opera General Hospital. Faith became one of General Hospital's most notorious villains as well as one of the most popular characters among audiences.
Cynthia's extensive acting credits include numerous roles in series, TV movies and feature films showcasing her versatility in 33 movies, 14 of which were leads, and approximately 230 episodes of television. Some of her favorite roles over the years? X-Files, Two and a Half Men, and Hannibal, to name a few.
