Biography:
Joy has been fandom since the 70's with involvement in many conventions; Star Trek 77, Beta Draconis, Ad Astra, Toronto Trek (which became Polaris) mostly with Art Show and the late Elisabeth Pearce where she was involved with Art Auction and judging. She started collecting Asian Ball Joined Dolls (BJD for short) 2005 after discovering them on the internet. At an impromtu meeting of Asian Ball Jointed fans at Anime North became one of the principal founders along with Callie and Loki's Mom of "Toronto Doll Army" which has evolved into an online meeting group who get together frequently to socialize, indulge in photography, picnic's or bubble-tea whlist displaying our dolls. And was one of the first Doll Competion Judges at Doll North 2010 (a special interest group at Anime North).
