News for Shuto Con 2011:

Spike Spencer final confirmed guest at Shuto Con

Lansing, Mich. - Dec. 26 - The actor widely recognized as the voice of Shinji from the cult anime, Evangelion, will appear at Lansing's premiere Anime Convention, Shuto Con.

Shuto Con will host voice actor Spike Spencer on March 25th and 26th 2011 at The Lansing Center, along with several other special guests, as a part of a weekend gathering of Anime fanatics.

"I am extremely excited to add Spike as our final guest! I think we have an amazing guest line up for our premiere convention, and I know our attendees will be very pleased." said Shuto Con convention Chair, Stefanie Shall, who founded the convention last year with her husband, Joe.

Spencer will host discussion panels, sign autographs, and meet with fans between events. His appearance at Shuto Con marks his first time in Michigan.

In addition to Spencer, Shuto Con is hosting Detroit, MI native Michelle Ruff, a graduate of Michigan State University, who has had a successful career in Anime voice acting in several popular roles, as well as several live-action roles.

Spencer will reunite with voice actress Tiffany Grant, who has worked with him in several notable Anime titles, including Evangelion, where Grant played the major character, Asuka.

In addition to guest-led panels, Shuto Con will feature dozens of events as well, including Interactive Cosplay, a dance, costume contest, a vending area, a Battle Arena, and many more events to be announced.

"Our Interactive Cosplay event, which encourages Cosplayers (Costumed attendees) to act out their character's roles, will be an entertaining event like no one has ever seen before." said Shall.

Attendees will have access to all events and may meet with the guests at designated times with the purchase of an event badge.

A two-day membership costs $35 at the door, but preregistered membership badges can be purchased for less for a limited time before the convention at: www.shutocon.com.
