News for Sakura-Con 2006:

Sakura-Con announces first American guest

Seattle, WA- 11-08-2005 Sakura-Con is pleased to announce its first guest for Sakura-Con 2006; the talented and much beloved Tony Oliver. Tony Oliver is a multi-talented voice actor, writer, director and producer and may be best known to fans as the voice of Rick Hunter in the classic Robotech series. In addition to Robotech, Mr. Oliver has been an important part of many popular anime, such as: Argento Soma TV, Chobits TV, Marmalade Boy, Mahoromatic; Automatic Maiden and Something More Beautiful TV, Please Teacher and Please Twins TV, Ah, My Goddess The Movie, X TV and OVA, Vandread TV and many many more. He is currently working on Robotech Shadow Chronicles reprising his role as Rick Hunter. Sakura-Con hopes you will join them in warmly welcoming Tony Oliver to Sakura-Con 2006.

ANCEA (Asia Northwest Cultural Education Association) is proud to once again sponsor the ninth annual Sakura-Con March 24th - 26th, 2006 at a new location: the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Downtown Seattle Washington. Sakura-Con is an annual three day gathering of enthusiasts and professionals interested in Japanese Animation (anime), comics (manga), and Asian culture. The convention features a wide array of activities and programming such as: industry guests, J-pop concerts, demonstrations, cosplay (costuming), contests, discussion panels and film screenings. These events run 24 hours a day to ensure non-stop entertainment. Indeed, attendees may be afraid to sleep for fear of missing the fun.
