News for T-MODE 2008:

T-MODE to give away free passes to Death Note movie

Viz Pictures teams up with T-MODE to give away Death Note tickets in the Arlington, VA area

Arlington, VA (May 10, 2008) -- T-MODE is working with Viz Pictures to give away three pairs of tickets to the live-action theatrical screening of Death Note. The English-dubbed adaptation of the popular manga title is limited to select theaters nationwide and for two nights only. This exclusive event features a special 20-minute production about Death Note's transformation from manga to live-action film, and includes the first-ever interview with Director Shusuke Kaneko.

Based on the hit supernatural action-mystery manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, Death Note follows the story of an ace student who finds the "Death Note," a notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami death god. After learning that the notebook has the power to kill, the student decides to rid the world of evil, but his goal is challenged once authorities bring in a legendary detective to investigate the mysterious deaths of criminals. Believing themselves to both be on the side of justice, the two match wits as they attempt to prove which one of them is "good" and which one of them is "evil."
