Biography:
Companion Steven Taylor alongside William Hartnell in the 1960s. Purves later went on to fame as a host on the series Blue Peter (so closely associated with the programme that he later found his association difficult to shake off.) He's recently returned via Big Finish narrating some of their 'lost era' and Companions audio series.
