Arizona Matsuri 2023

Arizona Matsuri 2023
February 25-26, 2023
Steele Indian School Park
Phoenix, AZ

Convention with Anime programming

The Arizona Matsuri is a two-day festival featuring the culture of Japan. The Arizona Matsuri is a non-profit organization, whose Steering Committee members are drawn from the Arizona Buddhist Temple, the Phoenix Himeji Sister City Committee, the Japanese American Citizens League, the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix, the Japanese Business Association of Arizona, the Japanese Culture Club of Arizona and interested individuals. The Matsuri is the means for the Arizona Matsuri to fulfill its mission of introducing the arts and culture of Japan to Arizona.

For all festival attendees, we kindly ask that you keep in mind that this is a family friendly event for all to enjoy. We are asking all attendees, who plan to wear a costume to this festival, to keep in mind our primary mission is to celebrate Japanese culture. This is not an event for general cosplay, and we therefore strongly discourage attendees from wearing costumes, cosplays of non-Japanese origin (video game, manga, anime, etc.).
