Anime Convention
AniMatsuri is an annual anime and pop culture convention in Tartu. AniMatsuri's emphasis is on Japanese culture in general, including pop culture like anime, manga, music, computer games, fashion, etc.
Convention also includes an elaborate masquerade ball where cosplay intermingles with medieval and renaissance era styles.
Convention also features themes which give each year's convention a unique face and style. So far the themes have included "steampunk", "Japanese mythology", "sci-fi" and "ninjas and pirates".
