Biography:
Colleen O'Shaughnessey grew up in Troy, MI. From a very young age, she was fascinated with animation. She never missed Saturday morning cartoons, "The Muppet Show", or the "Wonderful World of Disney" and often found herself giving "voices" to animals or babies. At age 12 she auditioned for a local theatre production of "The Fiddler on the Roof" and landed the role of Chava. She was hooked and continued to perform in numerous musical theatre productions throughout high school, including shows with the Peanut Butter Players, Detroit's premiere, professional children's theatre, where she was voted most likely to become a Muppet Baby. After a few seasons of summer stock and earning her B.F.A. degree in musical theatre from the University of Michigan, she headed to Los Angeles to pursue a career in voice over. Her first, official voice over job was a Reporter Barbie book as the voice of Skipper. Shortly after Barbie, she booked her first animated series, "The Kids from Room 402", followed by "Digimon" where she voiced the role of Sora. She continues to work in the industry voicing cartoon characters, commercials and video games, such as Tales of Symphonia, Metal Gear Solid IV, Rogue Galaxy, Red Ninja and coming soon Red Alert 3 and Alpha Protocol. Some of her favorite roles include Jazz on "Danny Phantom", Jodi on "The Life & Times of Juniper Lee", Suzy on "Zatch Bell", Yoshi on "Digimon Data Squad", Assado on "Battle B-Daman" and Ino and Konohamaru on "Naruto". Colleen is very excited to be working on a brand new series "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes", playing the part of Wasp. She currently resides in Los Angeles where she is the proud mama of two beautiful babies who keep her laughing and singing, and give her lots of material for new characters on a daily basis.
