Kitcho Daiko was formed in summer of 2010 in Phoenix, AZ. Four ace Taiko players of AZ came together to realize their dreams and to perfect their skills in this powerful and expressive art form to become Kitcho Daiko Arizona. As the name Kitcho suggests, "sign of good things to come", we believe as we share our love of Taiko we would bring inspiration and hope for good things to come. We aim at popularizing the art form from Japan and make it available to whoever aspires to be a Taiko player.
Our experience as individual Taiko players go back several years. We have taken part in several performances as part of the same group or with different Taiko ensembles. We bring in a combined experience of 23 years of playing Taiko, yet we are learning and enjoying the art. Its the love and passion for Taiko that keeps us going.
