Tom Rasch has been drawing since before he can remember¦ At an early age he had a growing interest in the modern mythology of pop culture. He loved comics: Batman and Spiderman, were his favorites. He watched TV shows like Giant Robot, Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica. He went to the movies as often as he was allowed.
In 1977 when Star Wars premiered, something happened. It dawned on me that this is what he wanted to do. he began to realize that there were people behind all this stuff he was so crazy about. he read comics for the artists instead of the characters. John Byrne, Michael Golden and George Lucas were my new inspirations.
Since then he have had the opportunity to work as a graphic designer, concept artist, flash animator and have been a penciler for several comic book companies including Marvel Comics. He currently work at Gazillion Entertainment, a San Mateo area video game developer as a concept artist, as well as being the creator of BLACK ALPHA --my new sci-fi super hero series he is launching this spring.
