News for Sakura-Con 2010:

Sakura-Con announces Lika Morinaga and Mai Kadowaki as guests of honor

ANCEA (Asia Northwest Cultural Education Association) is proud to present the thirteenth annual Sakura-Con April 2-4 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Downtown Seattle Washington.

Sakura-Con 2010 is proud to announce new guest guests of honor Iika Morinaga and Mai Kadowaki. .

Lika Morinaga is a singer and seiyū. Her anime singing credits include the Opening themes to Seto "no" Hanayome (OAV) and Wandaba Style (TV). She has credits in many series, such as Chocotto Sister, Kamichu, Princess Resurrection, Transformers: Cybertron, and more. She will perhaps be best known to American Fans for her roles as Souseiseki in Rozen Maiden and Makoto "Mako-chan" in Minami-ke. Morinaga is also the lead singer of the goth rock band function code. This is Ms. Morinaga's first North American Convention appearance.

Mai Kadowaki singer and seiyū with many anime Opening theme credits, including Bincho-tan (TV), Hanaukyo Maid Team: La Verite (TV), Kodomo no Jikan (TV) , Lemon Angel Project (TV), Negima! (TV), Penguin Girl (ONA), and more. She has voice actress credits in many series, including Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge, Pani Poni Dash!, Penguin Girl, Ouran Host Club and many more. She will perhaps be best known to American fans as Meah from Popotan, Hikaru Mido in MoonPhase, Satomi Hakase in Negima!? and as Illyasviel von Einzbern/Illya in Fate/stay night. This is Ms. Kadowaki's first North American Convention Appearance.

Both Ms. Morinaga and Ms. Kadowaki are appearing at Sakura-Con courtesy of H.U.G. Incorporated.

Sakura-Con is the Northwest's first and largest convention devoted to Japanese animation (anime), comics (manga), gaming and Asian culture (established 1998). It is the destination event for an expected attendance of over 18,000 fans, industry leaders, celebrities, and artists. Sakura-Con is one of the largest events of it's kind in the United States-ranking in the top 5 for attendance.

ANCEA is a state and federal non profit organization dedicated to educating about traditional and contemporary Asian Media-with a special focus on Japanese anime, manga, music and gaming. ANCEA and Sakura-Con is entirely volunteer run, "for the fans, by the fans."
