News for Anime St. George 2011:

Anime St. George announces Scuttlebutt Ink as guests of honor

ST. GEORGE, UT - Anime St. George is proud to announce that the web comic and artist team, Scuttlebutt Ink, will be attending as Guests of Honor for the anime and Japanese culture convention Anime St. George, taking place at the Best Western Abbey Inn, September 24th, 2011 in St. George, Utah.

If you have attended a convention in California or in many other states, chances are you have seen Scuttlebutt Ink and their fan badges. Once simply claiming a table in the local artist's alley to help cover their cosplay and convention habits, Dusty Jack and JadePrince, the team that puts the Scuttle in Scuttlebutt, now travel the country promoting their new creative endeavor, the online comic, Mashou Shonen Fight. Mashou Shonen Fight is a tongue-in-cheek parody and homage to the "magical girl" genre of which the creators have such fond memories.

"We are very happy to be bringing Scuttlebutt Ink out as our guests this year." says Lisa Monroe, Founder and Public Relations of Anime SG. "We love having Indie guests as part of our programming lineup. It adds something new and interesting that you don't see at a lot of conventions in the area. It also allows us to help promote independent artists and get their name out to the anime community that may have never heard of them before."

Anime St. George will be held September 24th, 2011 at the Best Western Abbey Inn in St. George Utah. Pre-Registration, Dealer Registration and additional event information can be found at our website

Scuttlebutt Ink will also be attending as guests to Anime St. George's sister convention, Anime Bonanza, taking place August 6th, 2011 at the Ramada Reno Hotel & Casino in Reno, Nevada. Event information for Anime Bonanza can be found on their website
