News for NatsuCon 2011:
NatsuCon announces first wave of guests
Saint Louis, MO - May 5th, 2011 - NatsuCon, the premeire summer anime convention in the greater St. Louis area, will be taking place August 12th-14th at the Gateway Center in Collinsville, IL. Registration is currently open and weekend passes are available for $25.
NatsuCon has announced it's first wave of guests, featuring returning guests The Nerdfit Network. The Nerdfit Network comes from Boston, Massachusates, bringing years of convention experience into unique and original panels and events. And don't worry, they're from the internet. In fact, the Nerdfit Network is comprised of Erik "The Internet" Ferris, and Glenn Dubois, who can be found outside of conventions on their website where they offer articles, podcasts, and videos of the Nerdfit flavor.
NatsuCon will also welcome Samurai Dan & Jillian for their first appearance at NatsuCon. The husband and wife team of Daniel and Jillian Coglan are full-time martial art instructors, specializing in 16th century Samurai Arts. When not teaching at their dojo, the Kojokan, they travel the United States performing and teaching the ancient ways of the most famous warriors in history. With a combined 35 years of experience, their show is a unique blend of history, combative skill, and humor, designed to educate and entertain audiences both large and small.
NatsuCon will host Jill Dailey as Cosplay Guest of Honor. Jill Dailey a local cosplayer from St. Louis has been cosplaying for 10 years now and has won numerous awards for her work. Recently after graduating with her BFA in animation she plans on focusing more on her cosplays as well as her animation career. Her website is http://www.kannonkosplay.com/
