FanimeCon 2008 announces Antic Cafe as musical guest of honor

Popular oshare-kei band will make their first North American concert debut at MusicFest 2008

San Jose, California (February 18, 2008) - FanimeCon is proud to announce Antic Cafe (An Cafe) as their first Musical Guest of Honor for MusicFest 2008. An internationally recognizable name in both visual kei and J-pop genres, An Cafe will be performing in their first ever North American concert on Sunday, May 25th, at the Civic Auditorium, and this will also serve as their last stop on their world tour. Composed of Miku (vocals), Takuya (guitar), Kanon (bass), Teruki (drums), and Yu-ki (keyboards), the band has released a number of hit singles and albums, and more recently, has contributed their song, "Kakusei Heroism ~THE HERO WITHOUT A NAME~" as an opening theme to the anime, "Darker Than Black."

In addition to the concert, An Cafe will be involved in several other events throughout the weekend, including a Meet-The-Guests reception, a Q&A panel and autograph sessions.
