News for Anime Expo 2004:

Anime Expo 2004 hits record attendance becoming largest Japanese animation convention in the world

Anaheim, California - The Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA) today announced that more than 25,000 unique individuals attended this year's Anime Expo 2004 at the Anaheim Convention Center from July 2 through July 5.

"This year's Anime Expo was not only an unforgettable Japanese animation and manga convention, it was also a record-breaking event," said Jennifer Pon, chief executive officer of SPJA. "Anime Expo is now the largest Japanese animation convention in the world, thanks in part to our incredible sponsors, exhibitors, Guests of Honor, extraordinary cosplayers, volunteers and staff."

Next year, Anime Expo 2005 will take place from July 1-4, 2005 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Stay tuned for more information at http://www.anime-expo.org.

Anime Expo serves to foster trade, commerce and the interests of the animation and comics industry by serving as a key meeting place for members of the industry to conduct business.
