Middle Tennessee Anime Convention announces Notorious MSG and Lisa Furukawa

NASHVILLE, TN - MTAC, Expands Musical Lineup for 2009 Convention - MTAC Ninja!

MTAC, Music City's Anime Convention, is proud to announce two additions to its musical lineup -The Notorious MSG and Lisa Furukawa! MSG will be taking the stage at MTAC for the first time ever, bringing with them their fused styled of Rock, Hip-Hop and Chinatown Funk. The Pan-Asian trio's rise from the kitchens to the stage has been rapid. Since their debut, they've received both national and international press from sources such as The New York Times, Blender, GQ Japan, MTV and MTV Asia, Time Out NY, BBC World Radio, URB and Bust. They've been interviewed by Cipha Sounds on Sirius Radio's Shade45, and were featured in documentaries both on CurrentTV and French television.

Lisa Furukawa will be returning to her roots on the convention circuit gracing the stage of one of her first anime conventions nearly five years ago. Lisa has performed at various events and festivals, and has entertained audiences in large and small atmospheres. Currently, she is enjoying her appearances and performances at various anime conventions and cultural events around the US and Canada. She is exploring the electro/dub sound while composing for the multi-art and multimedia dance troupe -The Wandering Star Project. She hopes to continue pushing technological boundaries while continuing to contribute a lyrical vocal element to electronic music
